1. About Classbookly
Classbookly ("Platform", "we", "us") is an online marketplace connecting students with independent teachers. The Platform is operated by E-native sp. z o.o., registered in Poland. Classbookly facilitates discovery, booking, scheduling, and payment for lessons but does not provide teaching services directly.
2. Accounts
By registering, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
2.1 Student accounts
Students must be at least 13 years old to use Classbookly. Students aged 13-17 may use the Platform only with verified parental or guardian consent. Children under 13 may not use Classbookly.
2.2 Teacher accounts
Teacher accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Before publishing a storefront, teachers must complete the verification process, including profile review, an intro video, a teaching quiz, and a teaching certificate for English teachers. CVs are optional supporting documents. Classbookly may request additional supporting documents if needed.
3. Lessons
3.1 Lesson formats
All lessons on Classbookly are individual 1:1 sessions. Trial lessons are 25 minutes and free for students. Regular lessons are 25 minutes (minimum $5) or 45 minutes (minimum $8) and are booked as recurring weekly subscriptions.
3.2 Breaks and schedule alignment
Every lesson includes a required buffer after it ends: 5 minutes after a 25-minute lesson and 15 minutes after a 45-minute lesson. The Platform uses these buffers to prevent back-to-back scheduling conflicts and to keep teacher calendars aligned to consistent start times.
4. Trial Lessons
Students may book up to 3 free trial lessons in total, with no more than 1 trial per teacher-student pair. Trial lessons are intended to help students choose a teacher before starting a paid subscription.
If a student does not attend a trial lesson, the trial counts as used. If a teacher does not attend a trial lesson or the trial is cancelled by the teacher, the student's free trial is restored.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Regular lessons are billed as subscriptions via Stripe. Students choose a weekly slot and a frequency of 1-3 lessons per week. Billing occurs every 4 weeks (28 days). Trial lessons do not involve any payment.
Teachers receive payment to their connected Stripe account, minus the applicable platform fee shown in their Classbookly account.
5.1 Subscription cancellation
Students may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation applies to future lessons, and any refund handling for unused lessons in the current billing period is governed by the active billing flow shown at checkout and in the student dashboard.
6. No-Show Policy
6.1 Grace period
Both parties have a 15-minute grace period from the scheduled lesson start time.
6.2 Student no-show
If a student does not join within 15 minutes, the teacher may report a no-show. The lesson is marked as completed for payout purposes, and no refund or make-up lesson is provided.
6.3 Teacher no-show
If a teacher does not join within 15 minutes, the student may report a no-show. The teacher is not paid for that lesson. For regular lessons, the student receives a billing credit according to the Platform's policy. For trial lessons, the free trial is restored. Teachers with repeated no-shows may be hidden from the marketplace or suspended for review.
6.4 Lateness
Students may join late, but the lesson does not extend beyond the original end time. Teachers who are late should make up the time during the same lesson or the next session.
7. Rescheduling
Students may reschedule lessons with at least 12 hours' notice before the lesson start time. Rescheduled lessons must be moved to a valid available slot within 14 days of the original date. Each lesson can only be rescheduled once, and subscriptions may be subject to monthly reschedule limits shown in the student dashboard.
8. Lesson Cancellation Requests
Students cannot unilaterally cancel an individual scheduled lesson. To skip a specific lesson, the student must send a cancellation request to the teacher at least 7 days before the lesson start time. The teacher may approve or decline the request. If approved, the lesson is cancelled without an additional refund for that individual session.
9. Teacher Obligations
Teachers agree to appear on time for lessons, maintain professional conduct, keep their meeting link and availability accurate, respond to cancellation requests within 24 hours, and provide truthful information about their experience and qualifications. English teachers must provide accurate certification information during verification.
Teachers who repeatedly fail to meet these obligations may have their profile suspended or removed from the Platform.
10. Right of Withdrawal (EU)
If you are an EU consumer, you may have statutory withdrawal rights for certain purchases. Where a subscription begins immediately or lessons are consumed before the withdrawal period ends, those rights may be reduced or excluded to the extent permitted by law.
11. Intellectual Property
Teachers retain ownership of their teaching materials and content. By uploading content such as profile text, video, or supporting verification documents, teachers grant Classbookly a non-exclusive license to store, review, and display that content for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
12. Limitation of Liability
Classbookly acts as an intermediary between students and teachers. We do not guarantee lesson quality, teacher suitability, specific learning outcomes, or uninterrupted third-party video tools such as Zoom or Google Meet.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes where required by law. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
