1. About Classbookly

Classbookly ("Platform", "we", "us") is an online marketplace connecting students with independent teachers. The Platform is operated by E-native sp. z o.o., registered in Poland. Classbookly facilitates booking, scheduling, and payment for lessons but does not provide teaching services directly.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2.1 Student accounts

Students can browse teacher profiles, book free trial lessons, and subscribe to recurring lessons.

2.2 Teacher accounts

Teachers must complete the verification process (profile, intro video, CV, teaching certificate, and teaching quiz) before their storefront becomes publicly visible. Teachers agree that their intro video, profile information, and teaching credentials will be reviewed by the Platform and displayed publicly.

3. Lessons

3.1 Lesson types

Trial lessons: 25 minutes, free for students. Teachers provide trial lessons to demonstrate their teaching to prospective students. Regular lessons: 25 minutes (minimum $5) or 45 minutes (minimum $8), booked as weekly subscriptions.

3.2 Breaks

All lessons include an automatic break: 5 minutes after 25-minute lessons, 10 minutes after 45-minute lessons. The system enforces these breaks — back-to-back booking is not permitted.

4. Trial Lessons

Students may book up to 3 free trial lessons (25 minutes each) with different Teachers. One trial per Teacher-Student pair. Trial lessons are free of charge. After all free trials are used, Students must subscribe to continue booking lessons.

If a student does not attend a trial lesson (no-show), the trial counts as used.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Regular lessons are billed as subscriptions via Stripe. Students choose a frequency (1-3 lessons per week) at fixed day/time slots. Billing occurs every 4 weeks (28 days). The amount charged is: lesson price × lessons per week × 4.

Teachers receive payment directly to their connected Stripe account, minus the platform fee (8% on Free tier, 3% on Pro tier). Trial lessons do not involve any payment.

5.1 Cancellation

Students may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately with a prorated refund for unused lessons in the current billing period.

6. No-Show Policy

6.1 Grace period

Both parties have a 15-minute grace period from the scheduled lesson start time.

6.2 Student no-show

If a student does not join within 15 minutes, the teacher may report a no-show. The lesson is marked as completed and the teacher is paid in full. No refund or make-up lesson is provided.

6.3 Teacher no-show

If a teacher does not join within 15 minutes, the student may report a no-show. The teacher is not paid, and the student receives a credit applied to their next billing cycle. Teachers with 3 no-shows within a rolling 90-day period will have their profile temporarily suspended for review.

6.4 Lateness

Students may join late, but the lesson does not extend beyond the original end time. Teachers who are late should make up the time during the same lesson or the next session.

7. Rescheduling

Students may reschedule lessons with a minimum of 12 hours notice before the lesson start time. Maximum 2 reschedules per calendar month per subscription. Rescheduled lessons must be completed within 14 days of the original date. Each lesson can only be rescheduled once.

8. Lesson Cancellation Requests

Students cannot unilaterally cancel individual lessons. To cancel a specific lesson, the student must send a cancellation request to the teacher. The teacher may approve or decline. If approved, the lesson is cancelled with no refund for that individual lesson.

9. Teacher Obligations

Teachers agree to: appear on time for all scheduled lessons; maintain professional conduct; respond to cancellation requests within 24 hours; keep their meeting link and availability up to date; provide accurate information about their qualifications and experience.

Teachers who repeatedly fail to meet these obligations may have their profile suspended or permanently removed from the Platform.

10. Right of Withdrawal (EU)

Under EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. Classbookly's prorated refund on immediate subscription cancellation is more generous than this minimum requirement.

11. Intellectual Property

Teachers retain ownership of their teaching materials and content. By uploading content (video, bio, documents) to Classbookly, teachers grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to display this content for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

12. Limitation of Liability

Classbookly acts as an intermediary between students and teachers. We do not guarantee the quality of lessons, the accuracy of teacher profiles, or specific learning outcomes. Lessons take place on external platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and Classbookly is not responsible for technical issues with those services.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
